Marsh Groves
The founders of Marsh Groves of Desoto County are William and Linda Sue Marsh. William is best known by his friends and associates as W.M., and his family as Bim. Born and raised in Hardee County, W.M. was no stranger to the land of groves and cattle. Growing up, he worked many a day in the fields and groves with his father and mother. As an infant, they would lay him in a box at the end of a citrus tree row as they worked. I guess you could say he has been in the business for 80 years!
W.M. met and married Linda Sue Tidwell (who is affectionately known as Nana Sue to her grandchildren and great-grandchild) in 1961 and moved to Arcadia.
In 1978 they purchased the current property, which was pastureland, and ran cattle on it for 20 years. After that, they decided to grow citrus, and the pastureland did not disappoint, as it yielded the most beautiful Pomelos, Tangos, Bingos, Sugar Belles and Valencia that is now known as Marsh Groves.

and operated business.
In April of 2017, just 5 months before turning 78, W.M. decided he wanted to add to his legacy for his 2 daughters, Leah and Becky, and their families, by opening a packinghouse. Unbeknownst to his daughters, whose careers for over 30 years were spent in the AC behind office desks, their lives were about to change drastically. They, along with their husbands, would retire from their jobs and work for Marsh Groves, rain or shine, heat or cold, to continue to build their Father’s legacy.
